Texto de apresentação
A Faculdade de Psicologia e de Ciências da Educação e a Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade do Porto, o Centro de Investigação e Intervenção Educativas (CIIE), em estreita colaboração com a M_EIA (MINDELO_Escola Internacional de Arte), organizaram, em 2010 no Mindelo (Cabo Verde), o I Encontro Internacional sobre Educação Artística. No próprio encontro os especialistas e investigadores internacionais presentes concordaram com a organização de um segundo evento que promova novos debates sobre as complexas questões da educação artística.
Respondendo a esse interesse, constitui-se uma comissão científica e uma comissão organizadora que promove a realização do 2EI_EA, em 2,3,e 4 de Abril de 2012.
O evento terá lugar na cidade do Porto, sede das instituições promotoras, que incluem o recentemente formado i2ADS (Instituto de Investigação em Arte Design e Sociedade — FBAUP) e o ID_CAI (ID_ Colectivo de Acção e Investigação — grupo informal de investigadores sediados na GESTO Cooperativa Cultural).
O 2EI_EA não pretende realizar um palco de discursos retóricos, uma conferência em busca de uma teoria, mas um encontro de trabalho, lugar de retiro de um conjunto de interferentes na Educação Artística, campo de confrontação franca de ideias, pousio de experiências que se divulgam para fora de si, se confrontam com especialistas convidados, com parceiros de outras pesquisas e experiências. Não há educação artística sem fundamento que a sustente, onde as práticas se esclareçam. Pretende-se que no encontro se apresentem experiências e acções realizadas de modo ao debate promover uma reflexão decorrente da acção.
Um dos objectivos do encontro é tornar visíveis formas alternativas de questionamento e de construção, jogos operatórios, relações entre a prática e a investigação, proporcionando a emergência de novos vocabulários e a expressão de novas práticas e análises na educação contemporânea.
A actualidade exige uma transformação profunda nas narrativas que esclareça a transversalidade do campo que se vem designando por Educação Artística, a sua imprescindibilidade no decurso das sociedades, e, em particular dos métodos pedagógicos, dos conteúdos e das orientações que dão corpo e sentido à sua extensão para o terreno do ensino.
O âmbito temático deste encontro é, simultaneamente, o seu campo problemático.
Convidamos cada um dos interferentes ao desconforto de questionar o que é dado como ‘natural’ e que tende à disciplinação do trabalho do investigador. Desse modo pretende-se que o encontro promova a experiência e acções realizadas de modo a fomentar uma reflexão decorrente da acção.
Propõem-se, assim, as seguintes plataformas de discussão:
- pensamento contemporâneo e educação artística
- (re)pensar a investigação em educação artística
- cultura visual, sujeito e educação
- museus de arte e relacionamentos educativos
- educação/arte/desenvolvimento

Presentation
The Faculty of Psychology and Sciences of Education and the Faculty of Fine Arts from the University of Oporto, the Centre of Research and Educational Intervention (CIIE), in close colaboration with M_EIA (MINDELO_International School of Art), have organized, in 2010 in Mindelo (Cape Verde), the I International Encounter on Arts Education. During the meeting the participants and researchers agreed on the arrangement of a second encounter to promote new debates about the complex questions of the art education.
Facing this interest, a scientific and organizing comission promotes the realization of the 2EI_EA in 2, 3 and 4 April 2012.
The event will be held in Oporto, home of the research centers, which include the recent i2ADS (Institute of Research in Art, Design and Society) and ID_CAI (ID-Colective of Action and Research - informal group of researchers from GESTO_Cultural Cooperative).
The 2EI_EA does not intend to be a space of rhetorical discourse nor a conference in search of a theory, but a meeting point in which a group of interfering people in the art education field will confront their ideas and fallow their experiences with other researchers and partners in other experiences. There is no art education without supportive foundations where the practices are clarified. It is intended that in this encounter the debates and discussions arise from experiences and actions.
One of the objectives of the meeting is to make visible alternative ways of questioning and constructing operative games, relationships between practice and research, allowing the emergence of new vocabularies and new ways of expression and analysis in contemporary education.
The current situation requires a profound transformation in the narratives to clarify the transversality of the so called field of art education and its indispensability in the course of societies, and particularly in the teaching methods, content and guidelines that give shape and meaning to its extension into the field of education.
The thematic scope of this meeting is also its problematic field.
We invite each of the interfering participants to question what is given as 'natural' and so tends to discipline the work of the researcher. Thus it is aimed that the meeting promotes experience and actions in order to foster a reflection elapsed from the action.
We propose therefore the following areas:
- contemporary thought and artistic education
- (re)think research in art education
- visual culture, subject and education
- art museums and educational relationships
- education/art/development
