The VLF was founded in 1994 by a group of Art Advisory Teachers who were former members of the White Lion Arts in Education Team in the London Borough of Islington. For fourteen years (1980 - March 1994) the Arts in Education Team developed a philosophy and practice of resource based Art Education for primary children and successfully provided in-service training for teachers. The VLF holds an extensive archive documented over 18 years which exemplifies the high levels of creative achievement possible through a structured, progressive art education.
